Sign Up for Free to TLP—And We Give Money to Help Vets and Their Pets
A novel experiment in network-building for a good cause, Paws of War.
The Liberal Patriot (TLP) re-launched at the end of March as a full-time non-profit organization and digital newsletter providing twice the amount of coverage of domestic and global issues. TLP remains a free publication for everyone with regular posts sent directly to readers every Monday-Friday.
As part of this new mission, we have some funds set aside for “marketing and promotion” to help build up our readership and network. But rather than fork this money over to some tech company for bad advertisements that no one will read or click on anyway, we’ve come up with a better idea.
For every new subscriber we get from now through Memorial Day, The Liberal Patriot will donate $1 to Paws of War—a fantastic charitable organization that rescues and trains dogs for veterans suffering from emotional and physical effects of war and helps re-connect military members with dogs and cats they’ve rescued during their tours of duty overseas.
This novel new subscriber approach is a total win for everyone:
New subscribers get The Liberal Patriot’s newsletters, digests, contributors, and political analysis—all for free with no ads or requests for money!
The Liberal Patriot gets new readers and a wider network for our “pro-worker, pro-family, pro-America” agenda.
And Paws of War gets money from us, in our readers’ names, to advance its mission: “Help a vet. Save a pet.”
For current TLP subscribers, all we’re asking you to do is to send this email to people you know and ask them to sign-up. Also, please post on your social media accounts—and on Substack’s new Notes feature.
We won’t pester you too much with requests like this. But let’s see if this word-of-mouth experiment can work. If it does, we’ll try it again with other charities in the future.
The more new subscribers we can get through Memorial Day, the more money we can send to Paws of War: “Helping both ends of the leash.”
