Why on earth would anyone want a return to the ugly 60s? Massive destruction, dislocation and dissolution, often it seemed, the purpose. You left out David Horowitz, "Radical Son". A "red diaper" baby born of communist parents. One of many. Now, and for a long time, a warning voice about radicalism turned to murder.

Please, do not romanticize the Angela Davises of then, who have taught the same useful idiots of today. This is not entertainment. This is a serious attack on our future and the survival of the "person". Let alone democracy.

The biggest problem with trying to equate these protests with the 60's is that in the 60s, they were screaming for our American brothers to co.e home. People are converting to this religion, one who parrots "Death to America." They are not the same.

Even within protesting mobs there are differences in motives among individuals (even though participating in a mob is a stupid way to express any distinction).

In the 60s, some of the anti war protesters were actual Communists supporting so-called “people’s movements” wherever they appeared, whereas others believed that the cost to the U.S. (and in many cases to them personally) was just too high.

I had some sympathy for the latter view when it was expressed rationally, although as a proponent of the Truman Doctrine” of opposition to Communist expansion, I voluntarily served in the Army. I happened to be stationed in Korea, and came to appreciate how much U.S. support of South Korea improved the lives of the people there.
