Advice on how to disguise your intent with “gotchas” real or imagined.
The votes you seek are cast by people who’ve heard your promises and seen your actions. Can you say Virginia?
The new Governor didn’t say what she’d DO. She said what she thought polled well. Had she been selling furniture instead of governance she’d be in cuffs.
I want the Democrats to get it so there is a viable option, but they just don’t.
They are changing, but even more in the wrong direction. They say they want to change, but only because they want to be drivers, not passengers.
Sorry, they just don’t seem to show any signs that they’re really going anywhere but down. Third party, which has never worked, is looking more like a better option and that’s no real option.
It’s been fascinating to watch. On one had, they’re already starting to rewrite history about Covid (lockdowns happened under Trump, red states locked down too). And you don’t see progressives celebrating their tolerance by taking small children to topless drag queen performances anymore. They’re also slowly tiptoeing away from (trans)gender ideology.
OTOH they’ve gotten crazier about open borders and defiance of Federal law.
Someone should inform Silver that interfering with a law enforcement officer while he’s performing his duties is against the law and not a constitutionally protected form of protest.
There is the Democrat's "democracy" and their interpretation of our Constitution and then there is the Constitution of the founders and the Republic they created. The former has very little in common with the latter. One main point being you can't change the Constitution through legislation or judicial actions.
First remember, when the next Democrat gets elected to President, which I hope is a long way off, they will inherit the powers Trump has regained for the executive ranch.
The Constitution states, Article II of the U.S. Constitution establishes the Executive Branch of the federal government. The Executive Vesting Clause, in Section 1, Clause 1, provides that the federal executive power is vested in the President.
It gives no power over the executive branch given to congress to create executive offices not in the purview of the President.
The U.S. Constitution establishes three separate but equal branches of government: the legislative branch (makes the law), the executive branch (enforces the law), and the judicial branch (interprets the law). The Framers structured the government in this way to prevent one branch of government from becoming too powerful, and to create a system of checks and balances.
Therefore, no matter the precedent that has been allowed to take place in the past, the Congress has been usurping the authority of the executive branch for decades. Trump is reclaiming those powers taken from the executive branch and in all approved cases, the SCOTUS agrees. Settling differences between the executive and legislative branches is the responsibility of the judicial branch. Whether partisans agree or not, it is the system we were given by the founders. Their country, their rules.
So the whole argument of authorities is a red herring dreamed up by the left because they can't win elections. e.g. No where in the Constitution, or Federalist letters, does it use the phrase the Constitution is a living, breathing document to be changed to fit the current day's environment.
In fact the only way to change the Constitution is written in the Constitution.
Article V
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.
The Democrats, finding that cumbersome, I guess, ignore the Constitution and try to go around it. Which is the best example there is, that the Democrats have no regard for the
Constitution or the sanctity of that document. If you can change it by judicial or legislative fiat, then the Dems have created the for authoritarianisms by unconstitutional means. Which should give grave concern to all those who want to live in Constitutional Republic.
Congress long ago abdicated the power and duty to legislate. They passed off that responsibility to more and more agencies, who now write and enforce the rules we live under. Congress members now devote all their time and attention to fundraising for the next election. And whining that the Chief Executive is actually using the executive power.
Population movements...Ask people who moved state to state why they moved and fix it.
The just-say-no solution: "As a candidate, I will talk about my issues. I will not be answering any questionnaires, and ask my fellow candidates to do the same. We need elections based on what we each say we will do to make a better America.
Tactical, tactical, tactical.

How disappointing these articles are.

A useful questionnaire:
